ABRIDGED PRODUCT INFORMATION:
Formulation: Linezolid 2mg/mL (600 mg/300 mL) Solution for I.V. Infusion
Indications: Treatment of infections caused by gram-positive bacteria; ideal for the treatment of resistant infections like MRSA and VRE; complicated skin & skin structure infections including diabetic foot infections w/o concomitant osteomyelitis
Dosage: Complicated skin & skin structure infections, community-acquired pneumonia including concurrent bacteremia, nosocomial pneumonia – Adult & adolescent ≥12 y/o, 600 mg every 12 hrs for 10-14 days; Ped (birth to 11 y/o), 10 mg/kg every 8 hrs for 10-14 days; Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium infections including concurrent bacteremia – Adult & adolescent ≥12 y/o, 600 mg every 12 hrs for 14-28 days; Ped (birth to 11 y/o), 600 mg every 12 hrs for 14-28 days
Side Effects: Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, headache, insomnia, constipation, rashes, dizziness
Storage: Store at temperatures not exceeding 30ºC. Protect from light.
