ABRIDGED PRODUCT INFORMATION:
Formulation: Fluconazole 2mg/mL (200mg/100mL)
Indications: Cryptococcosis, candidiasis, prevention of fungal infections in malignancies, dermatomycosis, mycoses
Dosage: Cryptococcal meningitis – 400 mg on the first day followed by 200 to 400 mg once daily usually at least 6-8 weeks; Candidemia, disseminated candidiasis and other invasive candida infections – 400 mg on the first day followed by 200 mg daily; Oropharyngeal candidiasis – 50 to 100 mg daily for 7-14 days; Profound or prolonged neutropenia – 400 mg once daily starting several days before the anticipated onset of neutropenia and continue for 7 days after the neutrophil count rises above 1,000 cells per mm3
Side Effects: Nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, upset stomach, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, heartburn, loss of appetite, skin rash, taste aversion; (Uncommon SE’s) transient hepatic reactions (e.g., hepatitis, jaundice), seizures
