Uni-Pharma Phils. aims to contribute in helping alleviate this national concern through its offering, ‘KARAMAY sa KALUSUGAN’. It is a patient care program that supports treatment compliance and adherence to medication, as prescribed by physicians.

HISTORY

Uni-Pharma Philippines, Inc. (UPPI) was established in 2012 by a group of leaders from Wyeth and Abbott who shared a common vision of providing healthcare solutions that are of premium quality, affordably priced, and accessible to the majority.

The members of the Board bring with them more than five (5) decades of accumulated years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, which has rendered them experts in the industry.

With their wealth of knowledge, familiarity, and involvement in this field coming from multinational pharmaceutical companies themselves, reinforced by their strong entrepreneurial capabilities, strategic vision, and a heart inclined towards their employees’ welfare, they were able to lead the team towards a steady growth of business year after year. This would not have been possible without the positive reinforcement approach of UPPI’s leaders towards its employees. For them, it is as much about compassion as it is about business.

2018 was the year when UPPI decided to expand its management team, starting with an Office Manager to oversee administrative operations. This was followed by an opportunity to develop key provincial areas in Visayas and Mindanao regions hence, a new District Manager in 2020. After a noteworthy growth in the same year, doors were opened in 2021 for managing core products (Product Manager) and leading the North Luzon team (District Manager) to reach out to more health care providers. The management team of Uni-Pharma Phils., Inc. is expected to help propel business growth in subsequent years given each individual’s relevant and rich experience in their fields of expertise.

UPGRADED OFFICE SECURITY SYSTEM

Fingerprint Door-Lock System

To enhance our security system, our office is now using a fingerprint-based system. Since everyone has a unique fingerprint, which is required to get access, the security is relatively reassuring. The security of our office and office personnel is our utmost priority, and fingerprint-based lock system will deliver unto it.

CCTV Installation

CCTV Cameras are installed in the reception area and storage room. There are several beneficial advantages but our main goal is to protect both our employees and customers.

Steel Shelves

Cleanliness is very important to us. To reorganize our warehouse, steel shelving is an excellent choice. It provides stability, and durability; makes products easy to organize; and maintains orderliness.

Upgraded Accounting System

Accounting Software

Adapting both “on-premises” and “cloud-based“ versions of ‘quickbooks’ leveled up our Accounting System to better serve both our internal and external customers. Advancement of this process is one of our “continuous improvement” initiatives to achieve operational excellence.

Expansion of geographic borders and distribution channels

UPPI NATIONWIDE BUSINESS OPERATION

From a small customer base when we started, we relentlessly worked on having our company accredited in major private and government hospitals in Metro Manila. Having seized the opportunity to expand into other important cities and provinces outside of NCR, we appointed and authorized well-established, capable and competent distributors to handle our operations in their locales. Today, we are already well-represented across the country.

Likewise, we have partnered with a major distributor that enabled placement of some core products in the country’s largest chain drugstore. This is pivotal in further making our products accessible to the most number of people.

Retention and attraction of talents

The company places premium importance in people as a key growth driver. We train, develop and empower our people, particularly our Territory Managers, to act like real businessmen. Thus, it is of no surprise that we have almost zero turnover of employees since we started, owing to their high levels of motivation and dedication to the company.

This is the core of our business: being able to make a difference in people’s lives. It made us feel both humbled and proud that with our products, about ten thousand (10,000) patients have been saved from life-threatening infections in 2020 alone, while thousands more healed from ulcers, asthma, cough, and other sicknesses.
